About Staebler Appraisal

The Firm

Over the past ten years, Staebler Appraisal and Consulting developed into the regional expert for the valuation of construction. We provide insurance appraisals and reserve studies for condo and HOA associations all over the State of Florida, with a concentration in the southwest area. We work closely with boards of directors and community managers to keep replacement values up to date and reserve finances on target. To stay true to our company motto “Primus Inter Pares – First Among Peers” we pay close attention to detail, are accessible to the client at any time and provide first class consulting services.

Patricia Staebler, SRA – Principal

Patricia started her career in her family’s engineering office in Germany, where she was responsible for cost estimation, construction budgets, and site supervision. She managed the 15-head engineering office and was also responsible for the property management of 60+ commercial and residential rental units.

Living in southwest Florida since 2000, Ms. Staebler concentrates on commercial real estate with emphasis on construction. She became an Insurance Claims Adjuster in 2005 and a State-Certified General Appraiser in 2006 and opened her firm shortly thereafter.

As a member of the Appraisal Institute she was awarded the SRA designation in 2010. She is the founder of Staebler Appraisal and Consulting, a firm that concentrates on insurance replacement valuation and reserve studies for the condominium and HOA industry as well as commercial special use properties like churches, schools, sport facilities, country clubs, waste treatment facilities, etc.

Other specialties include cost segregation analysis, pre-construction consulting for accelerated depreciation of IRS §1245 property, and the 50% FEMA rule.

Anne-Sophie Staebler – Vice President

After successful studies at New College of Florida in Sarasota, Aalborg University in Denmark, University of Hamburg and Northeastern University in Boston, Anne-Sophie received a Bachelor’s degree in International Area Studies/Development and a Master’s Degree in Development and International Relations.

After many years of working for the firm during summer breaks, she finally joined the family business in early 2016 and took over the Update Department. She works closely with associations, their boards and managers to keep the appraisal information up to date and in compliance with F.S. Statutes 718.

Marc Peloquin – Commercial Contractor

Marc spent many years in the Navy’s construction battalion and built property all over the world. He worked for many years as a construction superintendent in Florida, before opening his own construction company in Sarasota.

For Staebler Appraisal and Consulting, Marc provides valuable insight into the local construction market. Instead of relying on national cost data books for appraisal and reserve studies, we derive our comparable data directly from Marc.
